The Torres del Paine is the most famous national park in Chile. It is actually in a part of Chile which by rights should be considered part of Argentina since it is on the eastern side of the Andes. I guess the reason that it is the most famous park in Chile is that it is the only part of Chile which looks like Argentina.
The day before we arrived at the park, we spent the night on the side of the road in +100km/h winds in the cold. We were rocking all night long. Claudia tore my door off the hinge. All in all, I was not impressed with the choice of location. So upon arrival in the park, we had to find a nice place for the night. The entry fee was US$40 and another US$40 to camp, but I'm worth it (even if it's questionable about the park). But the campground didn't improve the overnight cold situation. So in the morning when we pulled out of the camp, I let my opinion be known with a loud clunk from underneath. Curt said that he didn't care and wasn't even going to give me the pleasure of looking. (p.s. I broke both the front propshaft U-joints for good measure).
The slaves parked me and headed off on some hikes into the park.
